Dr Gerald Tan graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, in 2003 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He then obtained his first post-graduate qualification from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgery, Sydney, in 2007, and his second from the Faculty of General Dental Practice and Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England in London, in 2008. In 2021, he obtained his Post-Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology again from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. In 2021, he also became the first and only dental surgeon in Singapore to be awarded Diplomate status in the Asia Pacific Academy of Implant Dentistry from Taipei, Taiwan.
In 2015, he was conferred an honorary Fellowship to the International College of Dentists, Michigan USA, for his outstanding contributions to the dental fraternity in Singapore, leading to multiple mentions as a leading dental surgeon from Singapore in the Leading Physicians of the World publication based in New York, USA.
As of 2024,, he is currently one of only two dental surgeons in Singapore who is recognised with membership in the prestigious Joint Dental Faculties, Royal College of Surgeons of England, and one of only ten dental surgeons in Singapore who have been conferred a Fellowship in the prestigious International Congress of Oral Implantologists. As of 2024, he is also one of only two dental surgeons in Singapore who has been awarded a fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, USA. And in 2022, Dr Tan was also awarded Fellowship status in the International College of Continuing Dental Education , Philippines.
As of 2024, he is also the only Singaporean Dental Surgeon to have graduated from the coveted Harvard Business School Executive General Management Program ( Executive MBA), conferring him with full Global Alumni Status to Harvard Business School and Harvard University, and serves as an elected Board Member in the Harvard Club of Singapore. His special interests and business training include general management of group dental practices and healthcare Mergers and Acquisitions.
Of note are also multiple mentions in the Straits Times, LianheZaobao, 938FM, Mind your Body, and a myriad of other media platforms. Since graduating in 2003, Dr Tan has traveled to over 35 cities all around the globe and has attended over 100 postgraduate dental seminars, symposiums, exhibitions, courses, and internships to the best and most well respected dental clinics in the world, bringing back best practices and knowledge to his own group practice: Elite Dental Group Singapore Pte Ltd, which he founded in 2013.
From 2012-2016, Dr Tan served as the youngest and longest serving President of the Aesthetic Dentistry Society of Singapore (ADSS) and he continues to serve in its board as Past President. He was also nominated by ADSS to be a member of the Singapore Dental Association’s Resource Panel for its Ethics Committee in 2014. Dr Gerald Tan has obtained wide experience after serving as a commissioned dental officer with the rank of Captain at the Singapore Armed Forces, National Dental Centre Singapore, SingHealth Polyclinics, and the School Dental Centre, Health Promotion Board, before moving out to the private sector.
As a General Dental Surgeon, he discovered his natural talent and a calling for Aesthetic Dentistry and Dental Implant Surgery, as he realized his training and skills suited patients looking for more personalized and bespoke services, blending beauty with strength and function, with minimal pain and fuss. His special interest caters specifically to patients who have complex dental problems and who have had a history of severe dental trauma in the past.
Dr Tan’s bespoke custom smile design process starts with listening to the clients’ wants, desires, and concerns and that is very often what matters most, before a unique treatment plan can be tailored. Dental anxiety is a significant concern for the majority of his patients, and he is proud to share with his patients that every system, protocol, staff training method, and equipment that he has acquired in Elite Dental Group Singapore are catered to create the most comfortable and reassuring patient experience.
Besides his interests in Dental Aesthetics and Dental Implantology, Dr Tan is a strong advocate of combining modern computerized dental technology with traditional values of meticulous craftsmanship to create beautiful smiles that last.
An ardent animal lover, he volunteers at the Singapore Zoo where he provides dental treatment for animals in need of dental care.
Possessing a heart for the underprivileged, he volunteers on medical and dental mission trips to developing communities organized by the Medical Ministry of Wesley Methodist Church.
A keen sportsman, Dr Tan was a member of the Tennis teams for Anglo-Chinese School, Singapore Armed Forces and National University of Singapore.

Dr Thira Wong is known amongst her patients as the gentle dentist with a big heart and a profound love for her dogs.
She is an Australian-educated dentist who graduated from the University of Melbourne. Her daily practice focuses on restorative dentistry and emergency dental procedures. She has accumulated an extensive amount of experience working with dental trauma from her time in clinics in Melbourne as well as local hospital Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, before moving to private practice in Singapore.
Her personal ethos is that the function and appearance of teeth is closely related to the overall physical and emotional well-being of a patient, and that neither should be compromised over the other.
In her day-to-day practice, Dr Thira works on restoring broken teeth, loss of teeth and teeth damaged by trauma back to their original form and function using dental fillings, inlays and onlays, crowns and bridges.
Dr Thira also has a special interest in sports dentistry where she works on preventative care for athletes and restoring function and aesthetics for sportsmen who have sustained sports-related dental injuries – chipped, broken teeth or loss of teeth from dental trauma.

Dr Benjamin Chan is a general dentist with an interest in root canal treatments and restorative dentistry. He believes that good dentistry is about providing the right treatments to patients without cutting corners – no matter who the patient is.
Before his return to Singapore, he practiced dentistry in London, United Kingdom in both the public and private sectors.

Shiyun is a locally-trained Oral Health Therapist (OHT) with more than 8-years of experience in managing oral health and hygiene in public and private sectors. Her day-to-day practice in the public sector includes simple to complex restorative work and baby teeth extractions.
Shiyun has a professional interest in working with young patients and children tackle dental problems like tooth caries and decay. She has worked extensively with children to monitor their dental transitions – from a baby to a young adult.
Besides paediatric dentistry, Shiyun performs Guided Biofilm Therapy, a gentle and discomfort-free teeth cleaning alternative, to patients of all ages.

Dr Lai Juen Bin is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist. He has been practicing dentistry for more than 22 years with a keen interest in restoring the full function of teeth with full mouth dental implants and correcting the bite and balance with jaw surgery.
His prior experience includes acting as a senior consultant and clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS), National Dental Centre Singapore, where he was involved in postgraduate OMS training.

Dr Kelvin Ngiam graduated from Cardiff University in 1988. He completed his basic anaesthesia specialty training in the Birmingham and Sheffield teaching hospital rotations in the United Kingdom.
After being awarded his Fellowship by the Royal College of Anaesthetists UK he returned to Singapore as a registrar to complete his advanced specialty training at the Singapore General Hospital. He was awarded the HMDP scholarship by the Ministry of Health, Singapore to do a fellowship in cardiothoracic anaesthesia at The Cleveland Clinic USA. Dr Ngiam was a consultant anaesthetist with a subspecialty interest in cardiothoracic anaesthesia at the Singapore General Hospital and the National Heart Center.
Dr Ngiam started private practice in 2003 to joining Specialist Anaesthesia Services located at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
In private practice Dr Ngiam has been working closely with dentists. The aim of dental anaesthesia to allay anxiety, provide a comfortable, pleasant dental experience for patients.

Dr Noah Teo is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist. He has been practicing dentistry for more than 15 years. He was appointed Consultant/Visiting Consultant to some tertiary hospitals and units in Singapore.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003 and completed his Master’s degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2010. Thereafter, he was awarded the Ministry of Health HMDP to pursue sub-specialisation in Cranio-Maxillofacial Trauma and Post-Traumatic Reconstruction. He spent a year training in a regional referral centre in the United Kingdom under the tutelage of a UK Top 50 Surgeon.
His clinical practice focuses on surgeries of the face, jaw and mouth. These include Orthognathic (jaw correction) Surgery, Dental Implants and Bone Grafting, Wisdom Teeth Surgeries, Mouth and Jaw Diseases (growths, cysts and tumours). His scope of specialty includes acute and post traumatic facial trauma reconstruction, difficult wisdom teeth surgery, cysts and tumours of the jaws. He also accepts referrals and second opinions for Severe Facial Injuries (facial bone fractures, cuts etc.), Bite Correction and Reconstruction of Facial Deformity.
He believes in a well-informed patient-centric decision-making process. He also believes in multi-disciplinary care, and in good patient care standards that involves a team approach.
Dr Noah is active in teaching. He has organized and taught in local and international educational events. He has brought international experts to Singapore and is regularly invited as teaching faulty in courses for both Medical and Dental fraternities. He was also invited to write a Review article in a leading international research journal and a chapter on Dental Implants in a textbook for doctors.

Dr Loh Hong Sai received his Bachelors in Dental Surgery from the University of Singapore in 1972. He then went on to pursue four post-graduate qualification; his first from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1976, his second in Oral Surgery from the University of Singapore in 1977, and his last from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1992. He is also a member of the Academy of Medicine Singapore.
Dr Loh was the Head, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, National University of Singapore from 1980 -1998. He was also the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore from 1986 -1995. Professor Loh’s specialised skills range from wisdom teeth surgery to complex oral & maxillofacial reconstruction. He has dedicated much of his time to serving in NUS, evident from the 41 years of service as a professor. He is also actively involved in engaging reunions and overseas relation projects.
Being featured on the prestigious Roll of Honour of the Singapore Dental Association (SDA), Dr Loh is well-respected by many in his field. He was also elected as council member and Secretary for several terms. Furthermore, he has organized two world dental congresses. He specialises in a wide range of skills, from wisdom teeth surgery to complex oral & maxillofacial reconstruction. His research areas include laser applications in oral and dental surgery, treatment modalities for oro-facial pain and morphology and variations in local dentitions.
Being in the dental profession for many years, Dr. Loh has had the opportunity to take up many important roles in dental associations. He was the President of World Federation for Laser Dentistry and also served as President for the South East Asian Association for Dental Education. To add on, he was the Chairman of the Guild of Dental Graduates and the Chapter of Dental Surgeons, Academy of Medicine.
Dr Loh has an impressive record of alumni and community services. This was evident even when he was a dental undergraduate, whereby he was a leader and active person in planning and organization of social and community projects. Notably, he was very active in the Asian Pacific Dental Students Association. He was an Assistant Scoutmaster for his school, and that also provided him with opportunities to reach out to the less fortunate. Upon graduation, he continues in his traits in this area, and had engaged himself in many activities at faculty and university levels. He was the Faculty’s Alumni Representative for university. As the Dean, he formed the Guild of Dental Graduates, to foster alumni relations for its graduates. He also became a Consultant to the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) and the Acting Director of International relations (IRO). These positions enabled him to further reach out to other graduates beyond dentistry, and he spearheaded many projects engaging alumni to NUS.
